Single nieuws, eerste concert en video's!

Afgelopen dagen is er veel nieuws geweest rondom de volgende single. Duidelijk is wel dat er in Nederland voor alsnog geen plannen zijn voor een vierde single. Een aantal landen zal wel een vierde single krijgen om de tour te promoten en het lijkt erop dat zij zelf een keuze mogen maken welke het wordt. Populaire keuzes zijn Cry en Don't Let Met Stop You. Maar een radiostation in Canada probeert Longshot daar als single te krijgen door het extra vaak te draaien op hun zender. Waarschijnlijk komt er wel één algemene single (voor Amerika) aangezien Kelly op haar twitter vertelde dat nu misschien All I Ever Wanted de single wordt. Nog geen concreet nieuws dus, behalve dat Nederland voorlopig geen single krijgt. Verder is Kelly haar wereldtour begonnen en zij de eerste beelden binnen.

Gisteren begon het eerste concert in Dublin en er werd 1 nieuwe cover toegevoegd aan de setlijst, namelijk The Promise van 'When in Rome'. Ook is 'Don't Let Me Stop You' terug in de setlijst. Na het concert liet Kelly weten: Just finished my Ireland show and had soooo much fun! Gotta love the Irish!! See y'all next time :)

In ander nieuws, afgelopen week heeft Kelly een blog geschreven naar de directeur van Taylor Swift's platenlabel, Scott Borchetta. Ondanks dat Kelly een grote fan van Taylor is vond ze het niet kunnen dat Scott Borchetta American Idol afkraakte toen hij in een persbericht Taylor's optreden bij de Grammy Awards verdedigde.

Hij zei: "This is not American Idol. This is not a competition of getting up and seeing who can sing the highest note. This is about a true artist and writer and communicator. It's not about that technically perfect performance."

Kelly reageerde hier op in haar blog met o.a.:
"I understand defending your artist obviously because I have done the same in the past for artists I like, including Taylor, so you might see why its upsetting to read you attacking American Idol for producing simply vocalists that hit ‘the high notes’."

Ze vertelde hem ook dat zij zelf ook wel eens een slechter optreden had maar dat ze nooit hiervoor anderen afkraakte:
 "Every artist has a bad performance or two and that is understandable, but throwing blame will not make the situation at hand any better. I have been criticized left and right for having shaky performances before (and they were shaky) and what my manager or label executives say to me and the public is “I’ll kick butt next time” or “every performance isn’t going to be perfect” ……I bring this up because you should take a lesson from these people and instead of lashing out at other artists (that in your ‘humble’ opinion lack true artistry), you should simply take a breath and realize that sometimes things won’t go according to plan or work out and that’s okay."
